The products pose a risk of electric shock because the peak current and impulse discharges that are generated by the Shock Chewing Gum (385 – 400 V), Shock Lighter (144 V), and Shocking pen (380 – 400 V) are above the permitted level (42.4 V) and therefore they should be considered dangerous for the health of the user.The products do not comply with the relevant European standard EN 60335.

The products are joke items: 1. “Shock Chewing Gum” – product resembling chewing gum – white, green or yellow packaging,2. “Shock Lighter” – product resembling a metal lighter,3. “Shocking pen” – product resembling a pen, made of black plastic, with metal tip and cap. The products are packed in plastic blisters fastened to cardboard bearing the CE marking and the following information in English: “Made in China”, “The product may cause a risk especially for children under 14 years and persons with health disorders”. There are also instructions for replacement of the batteries and information in Polish: “Exclusively for children over 3 years”, “Use only under supervision of an adult”.
