The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - the luminaire has inadequate protection against electric shock; the wiring protected by single layer insulation is in contact with accessible components;- the luminaire failed the electric strength test; the insulation broke down when a test voltage of 2100 V was applied; although it should withstand 3710 V for 1 minute;- the supply cord is unsuitable as it had inadequately sized conductors; - the lamp connections are glued into position so the lamp cannot be safely and easily replaced;- the markings and instructions are insufficient to allow safe usage/maintenance.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard 60598.
