The tape measure includes an electric circuit powered by a battery, which generates a series of pulses with a maximum peak voltage of 806.5 volts when the button on the front side is pressed. Electric discharge voltage depends on the speed by which the button is pressed. Particularly, pressure increase implies maximum voltage rate increase. This may be harmful particularly to susceptible persons or those wearing pace-makers. There are no warnings on the product itself.
