These products pose a risk of:- electric shock since after the thermal test the electric strength of the insulation decreases, and the majority of the information related to electric safety is missing from the instructions for use, - fire because during the thermal test it caught fire,- injuries because it is not protected against unintentional operating, the switch can be locked in switched-on position and the instructions for use do not include the majority of the general and several specific instructions related with the safe use. This product does not comply with the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60745.

The product has plastic cover and the surface contacting the material to be treated is made of aluminium. The button setting the depth of planing also serves as a grip. The appliance neither has an automatically closing protecting shield nor a lowering device. The machine can be operated by pressing a button, where it can be locked. By pressing the button again the lock is released, and the planer will switch off if the button is released.
