The product poses a chemical risk because of the presence of dimethylfumarate (DMF) in the footwear and in all three types of sachets included in the packaging. Dimethylfumarate is a substance which is considered harmful, irritating and sensitising on contact with the skin, and its use as a biocide is not authorised. One incident reported.

Ladies' long boots, black or brown in colour. Attached to the boots by a plastic thread is a cardboard tag marked "TOO MUCH". The packaging is a black cardboard box marked "TOO MUCH-SHOES COLLECTION-REF 8236", colour and number. As well as the boots, which are wrapped in tissue paper, the box contains five paper sachets; two are white with black lettering, and marked with the words “DESICCANT SILICA GEL THROW AWAY” DO NOT EAT”. Another two sachets are printed with the words “DESICCANT BIOCHEMICAL DRY DO NOT EAT” in blue, and one other sachet is marked with “MOULDPROOF AGENT DO NOT EAT” in green.
