The product poses a risk of fire due to possible contact between the insulated live terminal and the heater element enclosure during assembly. This could lead to a short circuit and overheating causing the plastic casing to melt and, in extreme cases, combust. Three incidents reported.

2000W Fan heater, tough composite case with integral handle for carrying. Can be placed in a vertical or horizontal position. Two-position heat settings control two 1000 Watt heating elements. Full range, ambient room thermostat maintains temperature at pre-set level. Fan doubles as a cool air blower for use in the summer. Supplied with 13Amp non-rewirable ASTA approved plug.
